Blancs & Francs: Wines of the Loire Valley
Ready to fall head over heels for France’s most charming wine region? We’re taking a delicious detour down the Loire Valley, where the wines are as refreshing as a riverside picnic and twice as fun! Think crisp, zippy whites that practically sparkle with personality and smooth, earthy reds that’ll make you want to pack your bags for a château.
Certified Sommelier Steve Alley is your guide through this liquid adventure, sharing the secrets behind wines that are equal parts sophisticated and approachable. We’ll sip our way through the Loire’s greatest hits – from the famous “gooseberry bomb” Sauvignon Blancs of Sancerre to the silky Cabernet Francs that somehow taste like French countryside in a glass.
And because no good wine story is complete without snacks, Central Market is bringing the perfect bites to make your taste buds do a little happy dance. These Loire wines were basically born to be paired with food – it’s like they’re showing off!
Come curious, leave Loire-struck! This isn’t your stuffy wine class – it’s a fun, relaxed exploration of wines that’ll have you planning your next French getaway.
Space is limited for each seating to ensure an intimate, educational experience.
ABOUT THE IMBIBE SERIES
IMBIBE means to consume or absorb – and that’s exactly what you’ll do in our classes… consume and absorb wine, food, and knowledge.
Our IMBIBE series offers tastings and classes that provide a great way to learn and engage with other like-minded members of our community. We have a variety of highly knowledgeable professionals who impart great information, and usually a few good laughs, too!
