WINE & CULINARY EDUCATION PROGRAM

Since our founding, the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas has donated $1.5 million back into the Central Texas community through our mission of cultivating and investing in the wine and food community through education, appreciation, and enjoyment.

We are dedicated to providing direct financial support to those in the wine, culinary, and winemaking communities through scholarships, travel stipends, and professional development opportunities through our Wine & Culinary Education Program. In 2018, we provided the following opportunities:

  • Invested in the professional development of 20 sommeliers through scholarships and travel stipends
  • Sent two sommeliers on an intensive wine immersion experience to South Australia to further knowledge of other wine regions
  • Hosted WSET Level 3 classes and exams for industry professionals
  • Provided Master Class wine education for wine professionals
  • Hosted sommelier study groups in the WFFT Tasting Room

While our giving was solely focused on sommeliers and wine professionals in 2018, we are excited to add financial support for culinary and winemaking professionals in 2019 and beyond.
