We're excited to learn more about Madeira in our March educational class with Mark Rashap!
Reminder: These classes will start promptly at 4pm and 6pm. If you arrive late we'll do our best to accommodate you but we cannot guarantee that you will be served all of the wines.
"In our January educational class focusing on Portuguese wines, I poured a high quality 10-year Madeira, and the entire room gasped in awe and pleasure. As a result of the deliciousness of these wines, I thought it would be a huge hit to focus an entire class on the diversity and different styles of this fortified wine. Because brandy is added (which makes it fortified), Madeira is often lumped in with Sherry, Marsala, and Port; however, it is such a different beast and completely misunderstood in our wine loving community. The island of Madeira is a special place, completely volcanic which gives an energy and vibrancy to the wines; then the wine spends an extended period of time in a “heated” room which adds complexity. Join us, you will not be able to get this experience anywhere else."- Mark Rashap, CWE
