Master Class: Rochioli Vertical Tasting with Rachael Rochioli (Industry Only)

We have an amazing opportunity for our community of sommeliers and industry members on Tuesday, February 26th from 2 pm-4pm. Mike and Margaret Anderson, two of our collector members, have generously donated a very special complete vertical, 1996-2015 Rochioli West Block Pinot Noir. Plus, this is quite the event, so Rachael Rochioli (Tom’s daughter) is coming out just for this tasting!

If you are not familiar with this wine, the West Block is considered one of the foundational Russian River Valley vineyards. It was planted in 1970 from budwood off the Wente estate later identified as a variety of Pommard clones, during this time there was Pinot already in the RRV, but it was mostly inferior clones. This vineyard block garnered big fame when Williams Selyem started making a Rochioli West Block in 1979. Today, there are only about 400 cases made, and it is mailing list only. The Andersons have been in their wine club since 1996.

Guests must be a member of the industry and must RSVP. Space is limited and is first-come, first-served. Please plan on 2 hours for the tasting, as there are 20 wines.
