Chile is nearly 3000 miles long, made up of three distinctive climatic and geographical zones that prevails the entire length. While you can imagine how much terroir exudes from these landscapes, the reality is that three producers constitute 85% of the total production. Chile is a place where the average winery size exceeds that of any other wine growing area on the planet. It's a place inherently linked to cheap exports produced by behemoth wineries and co-ops. The story being told today in the United States radiates from the capital city of Santiago, but it's not the story that will be told tomorrow.
