Denise Silverman
Executive Director
As WFF’s Executive Director, Denise is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation – promoting its mission to cultivate the wine & food community, and ensuring high program value for its members and stakeholders. Denise has 20+ years’ experience in events/hospitality, team management, business development, marketing, philanthropy, and operations.
Hailing from New York, Denise began her career in journalism and public relations. She moved to Austin in 2002 and launched her own event production company. Several years later, she strategically merged the company with its chief competitor and grew that business into one of the most revered event production and Destination Management Companies in Central Texas. She successfully sold the company in 2018, and subsequently took on the role of Director of Sales & Marketing for Marquee Event Group, where she expanded her responsibilities in event sales, marketing and team leadership.
She proudly served on the Board of Directors for Texas 4000 for Cancer for six years, and is currently a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier Austin.
Denise lives in Central Austin with her husband, teenage son, and two dogs. She loves the Yankees, hot sunny weather, and cooking (especially Italian). Her favorite wine is the wine that comes with a great story, enjoyed with great friends.
