We’re excited you’re joining us at the 37th Annual Rare & Fine Wine Auction Gala!
We are hosting a “by invitation only” Happy Hour on Thursday, October 5 from 5-6pm for an informal “How to do the Auction” conversation. It’s meant for Auction first-timers and we’ll drink some wine and talk about how to be prepared for this legendary event!
Why does this event need a “how to” session?
Great question! If you’ve been to one Non-Profit Gala, you’ve been to them all, right? This event does have some of the same features as other galas – with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and a program in the ballroom. But we’ve had guests in past years tell us they wish they knew more about the nuances of this event in advance, so that’s what this little shindig is all about.
There are 75-ish Live Auction lots (and 35-ish silent auction lots). We’ll share information with you on how to preview the Auction catalog and be ready to compete against a room of spirited bidders! We’ll also shed some light on some very unique packages we offer that you’ll want to know about in advance. We’ll give you tips on how to avoid a long registration line and introduce you to some long-time supporters who have been to this event many times over the years. And of course, we’ll save time for a Q&A.
This Happy Hour is taking place immediately before our “Members Only Happy Hour & Bottle Share,” which is scheduled for 6-7:30pm. You are welcome to stay for the Happy Hour (even if you’re not a member)!
We have limited availability for this event so we ask that no more than (4) people per Auction table register for the event. (This doesn’t apply if you purchased individual tickets).
