Development & Marketing Manager
As Development & Marketing Manager, Sarah is responsible for the marketing, communications, and sponsorship strategies for the Foundation. She has 15-plus years of experience in hospitality/events, marketing, and design, and is excited to be working with and investing in the wine & food community – where she’s spent her entire career.
A proud lifelong South Austinite, Sarah’s educational background is in journalism, but she found a true passion in the events industry. She received her first pin as a level one Certified Sommelier while running The Red Room Lounge’s events program. Since then, she has worked in event production, venue management, and catering. Eventually, she took on a Marketing & Business Development role for El Chile Group, a local hospitality company, where she spent seven years launching and growing its highly successful events department.
Outside of work, Sarah is a devoted dog mom and hobbyist home chef who loves project cooking and entertaining friends and family. Her favorite wine is the one you open with your best friend before everyone else arrives . . . or after they all leave!
