Exclusive Tasting
Château Lascombes (Bordeaux)

Join the Austin Wine & Food Foundation for an intimate evening with Axel Heinz, Director and winemaker of Château Lascombes, one of Bordeaux's storied Second Growth estates in the heart of Margaux.

Founded in the 1600s on vineyards first planted in the 12th century, Lascombes is placed among Bordeaux's elite. Château Lascombes returned to family ownership when it was purchased by the Lawrence Family in 2022, and the estate is now managed by Axel Heinz — the acclaimed winemaker behind two of Tuscany's most coveted labels, Ornellaia and Masseto. Since then, Lascombes has undergone a quiet transformation, drawing renewed attention from critics and collectors alike.

This is a rare chance to meet Heinz in person. Guests will mix and mingle over a curated tasting of Lascombes' celebrated Margaux wines, paired with light bites, while hearing firsthand about the estate's history, its terroir, and the philosophy driving its resurgence.

As always, proceeds and participation support AWFF's philanthropic mission. Space is limited — don't miss the chance to raise a glass with one of Bordeaux's most talked-about winemakers.
