GRENACHE: LIGHT, BRIGHT, AND BOLD!
Join us for an illuminating exploration of Grenache, one of the world's most planted yet often misunderstood grape varieties that produces wines of remarkable depth, generosity, and distinctive character.
In this tasting, we'll trace Grenache's journey from Spain to the Southern Rhône, where it forms the backbone of legendary appellations including Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. We'll also venture to emerging regions where innovative winemakers are reimagining this versatile variety's potential.
Through a carefully curated selection of wines, we'll examine Grenache in its many incarnations—from vibrant reds to surprising whites, bubblies, or rosés. Discover the “Pinot Noir of the South” in this engaging class taught by AWFF instructor favorite Mark Rashap.
