An Evening with Rhys Vineyards
Join us as we explore high-elevation wines with one of California's most acclaimed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers.
Rhys Vineyards began in 1995 with 30 Pinot Noir vines that founder Kevin Harvey dug into the backyard of his Woodside home. Today the estate spans eight hillside and mountaintop vineyards across the Santa Cruz Mountains and Mendocino County, and its wines are counted among the finest in America. Vinous named Rhys its 2023 Winery of the Year.
Join Director of Winemaking Jeff Brinkman for an intimate tasting and conversation about the philosophy behind these wines.
What to expect
- A seated, guided tasting that highlights the differences between Rhys's vineyards, from the coastal warmth of Home Vineyard to the 2,300-foot elevation of Skyline, one of the highest Pinot Noir sites in California
- Plenty of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with the chance to explore how soil, elevation, and climate shape each wine
- Time with Jeff to ask about farming, winemaking, and the team's search for new terroirs
